Candlelight Ski and Snowshoe Events February 17
Good Times at North Shore Candlelight Ski & Snowshoe Events
One of the North Shore’s friendliest winter activities is the Candlelight Ski and Snowshoe events! North Shore Candlelight events take place at Gooseberry Falls State Park, and the Sugarbush Trails on Oberg Mountain on February 17, 2024.
Nordic ski, snowshoe, or hike at the Candlelight Ski & Snowshoe events
These family-friendly events offer luminary-lit, snow-covered trails for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, or hiking. Afterward, join in on the bonfire and refreshments with the other spirited folks that are out enjoying the evening.
There’s something about the moonlit woods and the snow-covered candlelit trails that brings out the best in people. Hellos and smiles along the trail no matter who you are! Hear the laughter of children and friends up ahead. Watch the kids run ahead of their parents to hide behind a tree and scare them. Hold out your hand to help a fellow hiker who went overboard into the snow. Relish the casual conversation and meet new people along the way. It’s a wonderful, positive vibe!
Bonfire and Refreshments
Campfire at the Candlelight Ski and Snowshoe, Oberg Mt.
Before of after your candlelight adventure, enjoy the bonfire and refreshments. The Sugarbush Trail Association will have hot cocoa and cookies at the Oberg Mountain trailhead. The event at Gooseberry Falls State Park will have a bonfire and marshmallows at the Lady Slipper Amphitheater, and hot beverages and cookies are available at the Visitor Center.
