Beaver Bay and Silver Bay, Minnesota are neighboring towns located in the heart of Minnesota’s North Shore of Lake Superior. The small hamlet of Beaver Bay was the North Shore’s first settlement established in 1856. Silver Bay is recognized by the taconite plant on Highway 61 that ships iron ore pellets all over the world!

Many treasures of the North Shore are found in the Beaver Bay/Silver Bay area. Don’t miss Split Rock Lighthouse, Tettegouche State Park, Black Beach, Palisade Head, the Superior Hiking Trail, and the Gitchi-Gami State Trail.
