Chik-Wauk Museum & Nature Center is a historic lodge-turned-museum on the edge of the wilderness at the end of the Gunflint Trail near Grand Marais, Minnesota. Housed in a stone lodge built in 1933 (formerly a fishing and vacation resort), it now presents the region’s natural and cultural history — covering Indigenous heritage, logging & mining eras, and life on the Gunflint Trail through interactive exhibits, taxidermy, and watercraft displays. The 50-acre grounds include several easy hiking trails through forest and lakeside terrain, making it a great blend of education, history, and nature.
