Historic Green Door Smelt Fry

Green Door Smelt Fry

The Historic Green Door Smelt Fry takes place in Beaver Bay on the 3rd Saturday in May.

This family-friendly event features a meal of all-you-can-eat smelt, using the Green Door’s original recipe dating back to 1958. The meal includes chips, tartar sauce, coleslaw, and an orange drink. Smelt is served from 11am – 3pm, or until it runs out.

There is live music, kids’ activities, a cornhole tournament, and an outdoor expo.

The meal is lovingly prepared by the local Baptism River BBQ Co.
